Pick Your Own Apples

Call ahead for the most up-to-date picking information and conditions.

Look for the yellow undertones when selecting peaches to pick.

Apple picking tips

  • Choose apples that are firm and free of nicks and bruises.

  • Colors vary on apple types and may not indicate ripeness. The variety guide will help you know which apples are at their peak.

  • The apples nearest the outside of the tree are the ones that ripen first. If a variety is at peak ripening time, start there for the best ready-to-eat apples.

  • To pick an apple off the tree perfectly, rotate the fruit upwards and twist. Don’t pull down or straight, and never shake branches.

  • Place the picked apple gently in your container to prevent bruising.

HOW IT WORKS

Checking In
When you arrive at the orchard, check in at the farm market(during the week) or Pick-Your-Own tent(weekend) to get information, containers, picking pole and picking varieties.
Where to Pick
We will tell you where to pick based on variety and best availability. When you are finished picking, come back to the farm market or Pick-Your-Own tent where an employee will check what you’ve picked and give you a slip to take inside for check-out. At this time please return picking pole (if used).
